The purpose of the study was to determine the extent to which wetlands within the Kenyan portion of the Lake Victoria Basin are able to sustainably reduce and delay the transmission of key pollutants (suspended sediments and nutrients) into the lake, that is, to determine the buffering capacity of the wetlands of the Kenyan portion of the Lake Victoria Basinen_US
