EAC guidelines on monetary poverty measurement

Abstract

EAC Secretariat through the Regional Technical Working Group on The Regional Technical Working Group on Poverty Statistics has developed Guidelines designed to harmonise the measurement and analysis of poverty by using a consistent methodology, a set of common tools, and estimation practices. Development of the Guidelines took into consideration international best practices, empirical evidence, and current practices from the EAC Partner States.
