The second EAC Development Strategy

Abstract

This is the second EAC Development strategy covering the period 2001 to 2005. It succeeds the first strategy which covered the period 1997 to 2000. It takes into account experience gained in implementing the first strategy, the provisions of the Treaty, the implications of globalization on the intensification of competition and the influence of the position of the EAC in the world market.
