The EAC/AMREF Lake Victoria Partnership (EALP) HIV&AIDS Programme conducted HIV Sero-behavioural studies in 18 universities, 8 agricultural plantations and 168 beach landing sites in the Lake Victoria Basin of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. One of the deliverables of the EALP Programme was the Gender and Rights Based Approaches (GRBA) mainstreaming toolkit for universities in Lake Victoria Basin. The GRBA is meant to provide an opportunity to understand and address gender factors that contribute to the increased vulnerability of the mobile target populations, to HIV and AIDS through policies, academic and administrative systems.en_US
