This risk assessment was prepared in 2014 by PRA specialists from five EAC partner states namely, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya (South Sudan did not participate because at that time, it was not yet a member of EAC). It involved comparing and harmonizing pest lists associated with rice from the five countries. This document includes; harmonized regional potential quarantine lists for rice; regional PRA for processed, unprocessed and seed rice and harmonized Phytosanitary import conditions for rice to be applied in the Eastern African Region.en
